Job Description: This position is for local residents only. Logistics Assistant Job Description: Working closely with internal and external resources to develop, implement, and execute processes and procedures to effectively move goods and materials Arranging ocean/truck and railcar shipments to include customs clearance, commercial invoicing, and packing list requirements Communicating with freight forwarders to obtain rate quotes and track/trace shipments Notifying management of any government holds or any other roadblocks to delivery Tracking products and goods exported into third party warehouses Ensuring product delivery dates are met Monitor delivery appointments and communicate to the sales department as needed Must help sales team as necessary to ensure customers are served well Reporting and communicating in transit issues that effect on-time delivery Provide support to Sales Team by: Data entry and Processing sales orders & releases Entering vendor purchase orders and coordinating timely shipments Draft sales & purchase contracts Manage shipments from vendor to customer to ensure a timely and accurate delivery Assist with new account setup documentation, filling out new vendor and item forms Ensure that all quality assurance documentation flows from vendor to customer Maintain communications with customers for service & sales purposes Collect incoming & arrange outgoing samples as needed (Dried Fruit, Nuts, Juice, Etc.) Organize files manually and electronically Other general office or sales support duties as assigned Job Requirements: 3-5 years international logistics experiences related to the movement of movements of goods, supply chain and distribution Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering or any related field preferred but not required work experience may suffice Experience with QuickBooks preferred Good command of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word) Familiarity with customs clearance documents, general export/import shipping practices and other international export/import logistics information Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical thinking, presentation and customer service skills Desire to work in a dynamic, international environment and be an effective problem solver Detail-oriented and efficient Must be a team player Good communication skills Able to lift 25 lbs Willing & able to do some traveling NATURAL FOOD SOURCE / NIMEKS USA is a leading grower and processor of premium quality natural & organic food products.
